A co-founder of Dorrier Underwood, Judith was intrigued and excited about making the tools of transformation available to organizations and their leaders. She and Nancy took on the challenge of promoting and selling the subtle essence of leadership-Being rather than Doing-the uncharted territory on the higher ground of being true to one's heart, soul and vision. Although in 1988 the term transformation was generally not in the business vernacular, the result of effective communication in client organizations became the hallmark of a far reaching transformational process.

Since retiring, Judith has sought to integrate her experiences as a woman, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a grandmother and a community activist into a conscious embrace of meditation and other allied disciplines. In her daily life she seeks to express the spiritual truths that draw all human beings toward the source of yearning and creativity. Nothing less will meet the challenges of living purposefully and peacefully in the 21st century.

A native of the Charlotte area, she is married to Bill Underwood, a retired attorney who works tirelessly as a volunteer to transform cultural patterns that hinder the development of healthy families and communities. Judith and Bill have 10 grandchildren, two young Labs and a deep hunger for the adventure of life long learning.

"Youth is not a period of time. It is a state of mind, a result of the will, a quality of the imagination, a victory of courage over timidity, of the taste of adventure over the love of comfort"
~ General Douglas MacArthur
