Laura joined Dorrier Underwood as a consultant and Director of Marketing in 2016,
bringing expertise from both the corporate and small business worlds and a spark for life and
possibility that delights friends and clients alike.
Her career began in corporate America, primarily within Bank of America (formerly NationsBank),

at all levels of the organization appreciate the impact their actions had on the business and its
Laura scaled the corporate ladder for more than a decade, then, following in her family's
footsteps, she swung out into entrepreneurship. Over a span of 15 years, she launched and
nurtured four small businesses. She co-created Charlotte, North Carolina's first urban
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and started a jewelry design/sales business. She
enjoyed a 10-year career as a leadership and executive coach, and in the midst of that work,
co-founded Nourish, Charlotte's only 100 percent plant-based prepared food delivery service.
Along the way, she also taught college English, served as coach and leadership faculty
for larger-scale personal and business development programs, provided keynote and other
speeches at personal and business development conferences, and created and led myriad
leadership workshops and retreats. She served on the board and as president for a number of years
in the Charlotte chapter of the International Coach Federation.
Laura lives on the outskirts of Charlotte with her husband Robert and a
shifting and beloved menagerie of three cats, two dogs, and five chickens.
